Sandy123 - Number Sand Molds

Discover the joy of numbers in the sand with these free 3D models for self-printing! From toddlers to adults – Sandy123 sand molds make learning and playing in the sand an exciting experience for you and your family. Explore numbers with your toddler or personalize your sand art with the Sandy123 sand molds. This set of 10 3D printable sand molds for all numbers from 0 to 9 offers you endless creative possibilities.

The Sandy123 sand molds are designed so that each number is available in its own STL file. This makes it easier to find and print the desired shapes. The filename precisely indicates which number the file represents, along with the version of the file.

For example, the file “SandyForms-1-v10.stl” represents the number “1” in version 1. Simply import the STL file into your slicer software, and you can start printing right away. Repeat this process for each number you want to print.

When 3D printing, the right material and correct print settings are crucial. The parts you print should not only look good but also be robust and durable. Therefore, here are some tips to consider.

For 3D printing the Sandy123 sand molds, I recommend using PLA (Polylactic Acid), an environmentally friendly and biodegradable filament that is safe for children. PLA is not only robust and durable but also easy to print, making it the ideal choice for this project. Alternatively, PETG (Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol) or special filaments approved for children can be used.

The print settings are simple but specific and designed for a 0.4-mm nozzle:

  • Wall Generator: preferably Arachne
  • Walls: 3
  • Bottom Layers: 3
  • Top Layers: 3
  • Infill: 0% (Zero Percent)
  • No Support Structures

These settings can be easily found and adjusted in most popular slicing programs like Cura, PrusaSlicer, or BambuStudio/OrcaSlicer. They ensure a sturdy structure.

Depending on the chosen material, it may be necessary to print a brim. This helps improve the adhesion of the parts to the build plate and prevent warping.

Safety is my top priority, and I want to ensure that you and your family can use the product safely and enjoyably. Please observe the following safety instructions:

  • Age Recommendation: Sandy123 sand molds are suitable for children aged 3 and up. Use under adult supervision to avoid the risk of swallowing or other injuries.
  • Choosing the Right Material: Only use child-friendly, non-toxic 3D printing materials. I recommend PLA (Polylactic Acid) as it is biodegradable and safe for children. Other suitable options are PETG (Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol) or special filaments approved for children.
  • Supervision: Children should always use the sand molds under adult supervision.
  • Careful Processing: Check the printed parts for sharp edges or burrs and sand them down if necessary to avoid injuries.
  • Cleaning and Care: Keep the molds clean by washing them regularly with soap and warm water. Avoid aggressive cleaning agents.

Following these guidelines helps minimize the risk of accidents or injuries and ensures that the Sandy123 sand molds are a safe and entertaining experience for you and your family. Have fun learning and playing in the sand!
